Hello Dear Reader, A positive word about laughter because laughter definately is the best medicine. I remember as a child how some things made me laugh. Sometimes I found something so funny that I just could not stop laughing. I loved to laugh it made me feel alive. I loved having fits of laughter. Laughing was the greatest feeling in the world. Now I feel as adults we have become all too serious about life and we really need to laugh a lot more than we do. Laughter releases healthy chemicals called endorphins into the body. These natural chemicals are released into the body. After a good laugh you can fell these natural chemicals buzzing around your body creating a euphoric feeling. Is it any wonder that laughter is highly recommended for the sick by natural therapists? Get out a comedy to watch on your television and have a good laugh. I believe that laughter also releases built up stress in the body the same way crying does. Add a little something extra and perhaps cry with laughter if you like. There is a connection between the two as they both cause the body to de-stress and let go. I will choose a comedy over a violent movie any day. Watching violent movies gives me a sick sinking feeling and depresses every cell in the body and depressed cells can cause dis-ease in the body. As well as comedy I think music is also very good for you. Sing in the shower. Let it out in the car while you are driving along. Sing your heart out to your favorite tune. If it inspires you and uplifts you it is definitely doing you good. And like the song says.. ‘Always look on the bright side of life’ and ‘don’t worry, be happy’. Now go out into your day and laugh and sing your heart out. Cry if you want to, there is nothing wrong with crying. Doing any of these things will help to clear all the built up stress. Regards, Michael J Fisher
